Have you ever wondered if you could layer self-tanner over your spray tan to try darkening or extending your tan?
We really don’t recommend doing this.
Not all tanners are created equal and layering one type of solution over another can be a recipe for disaster. Eek! The biggest reason we recommend steering clear of this is because when you layer different tanning products over one another, this is when your tan can start looking really unnatural (and dare I say.. orange) – the LAST thing you want your tan to be.
If you’re wanting your tan to look darker, you can always ask for the next level up at your next appointment. If prolonging your tan is your goal, consider using one of our organic solutions because they’re going to last a few days longer than our original solution. You can also pick up our Extender next time you’re in.
This is our moisturizer which also has bronzer in it that’s going to help prolong your tan between appointments. I like to swap this out for my typical moisturizer every few days when I need my tan to last a bit longer
– perfect to take on vacation with you!
So, next time you’re considering putting a self-tanner on top of your spray tan – just say NO. You’ll thank us later.
